Author's Note: I thought that it was mean of Ziva to not invite Tony to her party after watching Boxed In. Here is what Tony might have been thinking when he found out that not only McGee was invited, but Gibbs and Abby.

Party

Why wasn't I invited to Ziva's party? At first I just thought that it was McGee having dinner with her. When I got returned to work after being stuck in the shipping container I found out it was a party. Not only was McGee there, but so was Abby and Gibbs. Does she hate me? Can she not stand me? Why didn't she invite me? What did I ever do to her? Did I say something to her that she didn't like? Did she think I had something planned? I didn't have anything to do that night and yet she didn't even consider asking me. Did she think that it wouldn't hurt to know that she invited everyone else, but not me? Does she think that I have no feelings? Well, I do and they hurt when I found out about the party she had.

One Word

Tony sits watching a movie, but not really watching it. He was still in shock at the one word that Gibbs had said to him when he pulled him away from the bullpen away from the case that they had gotten when Gibbs was still in Mexico. Proud. Gibbs was proud of him and he had told him so. He couldn't remember when anybody had said that they were proud of him. Not even his father had said he was proud of him. He was always a nuisance to his father and never wanted to spend time with his son. The only time he let him go somewhere with him he left him for two days in a hotel not even missing him at all until he got the hotel room bill. Then he sent one of his people to come collect his son. He couldn't even come to get him himself.

He thought of Gibbs as his surrogate father. He was a better father than his father would have ever been. He wished sometimes wished that Gibbs could have been his father instead of the father who had raised him and disowned him at twelve. He knew that Gibbs would have never disowned him, or disinherited him because he wanted to become a policeman. He would have loved him no matter what he wanted to become.

He blinked his eyes and smiled. He turned his attention back to the movie and started to watch it. He glanced at the clock and knew that he had to go to sleep soon because tomorrow was anther day and it will be a busy day. He feel asleep with a smile on his face and in the morning he was surprised that he didn't have any nightmares and slept all though the night not waking up once.

"Pushing Daisies" and its characters don't belong to me they belong to ABC and are being used without permission. Please don't sue because I have no money.

Author's Note: If you have never seen Pushing Daisies then I will try to tell you about it. Pushing Daisies is about a man who when he was young found out that he had the power to bring dead things back to life with the touch of his finger. He has a best friend named Charlotte "Chuck" Charles who lives across the street. He didn't know how his magic finger worked and so he had no idea that he could only bring back a person, or animal for only a minute and if it is longer than a minute that something of equal value would die. If he were to touch the person, or thing that died then that person would die forever. When he was young his mother died in front of him and he brought her back to life and it was longer than a minute. Chuck's father is the one who dies and then later that night when his mother tucked him into bed she kissed his forehead and was dead in an instant. When he tried to revive her she didn't come back to life. He was put into a boarding school by his father and never saw him again until one day during Halloween, which he found out that his father had another family. He grew up to be the pie maker. He had found his childhood sweetheart, but she was dead and so he revived her. The funeral director was the one who died in her place. Emerson Cod and Chuck are the only one's who know about his magic finger. He also brought his dog Digby back to life and he could never pet him again.

Magic

Young Ned was 12 years, four hours, 10 minutes and 7 seconds old. He had just arrived at the Rhode Island Military Academy. He had been transferred from what he called the Home, but he didn't know how long he would be here. His dog Digby was besides him. He was happy to know that Digby was allowed to go with him.

Young Tony was 12 years 2 hours, 20 minutes and 4 seconds old. He glanced around. His father had disowned him and had sent him to Rhode Island Military Academy. He wondered if he would make friends here. He spotted a boy around his age and there was a dog beside him.

Tony and Ned ran to the park and started to throw the ball around. Tony loved to play sports and wanted to become a professional football player. He watched Ned his friend run to catch the ball he then he turned to watch Digby bark and wag his tail as he watched the two boys play ball. He liked Digby and Ned had told him all about his magic finger and Tony had told him about his father. He felt bad for Ned because he couldn't pet his beloved pet. Tony liked Digby and would pet him when Ned couldn't.

"Hey, Tony."

"Ya, Ned."

"Wanted you to watch for the ball. Didn't want me to hit you in the head."

"I'm watching." Replied Tony with a smile.

They were not the only kids that were here over the Christmas vacation. There were a few other kids, but Tony and Ned really didn't feel like talking to them. Tony knew that his father wouldn't want him back at the house after all he was disowned. Ned's father had left him at the Home for boys and had never came back to see him again. Ned had gone out one day during Halloween and had seen that his father had gotten himself another family.

Tony ran towards the ball and quickly caught it. He stopped and then threw the ball back towards his friend who immediately began to run towards the ball and he too caught it. When they were done tossing the football they went towards their separate rooms to clean up and change their clothes.

One year later Tony watched as his friend's things were put into the car. He was being taken back to the Home for Boys.

"Goodbye Tony."

"Goodbye Ned."

The two young friends hugged each other.

"I hope that we will see each other again." Replied Ned.

"I hope so too." Replied Tony

Ned sat in the backseat and looked out the back window as he was taken away from his friend.

Years Later.

"Grab your gear and then pack your clothes. We have a dead Marine in Coeur de Coeur."

Tony stood there for a minute. He remembered a young boy named Ned who was from Coeur de Coeur who had a magic finger. He often wondered how Ned was and what he was doing. Tony grabbed his backpack and then stepped into the elevator when it opened.

When they arrived at their destination Tony started taking photos and started sketching. McGee was bagging and tagging. Ziva was questioning the person who had found the body.

Ned was busy making a pie and looked up when Emerson Cod walked in nodding towards one of the tables. Ned stopped making the pie and walked over to the table and sat down.

"I need your expertise." Emerson said. "Where's dead girl?" He said as he looked around. Only finding Olive who was busy cleaning the bar and who was far away to not hear what they were saying.

"Chuck is out walking Digby." Ned said as he quickly turned to Emerson.

"Who died?" Ned asked.

"A Marine."

Ned agreed to help Emerson find out who killed the Marine and so they went to the morgue and found out who did it, but before they could get revenge for the person the NCI S agents came into the Pie Hole.

Ned was in the kitchen when Tony, Ziva, Gibbs and McGee came into the Pie Hole and didn't look up when they did. They were shown a seat by Olive Snook and sat down to look over the pie selection. Chuck walked into the doors as the NCIS Agents were trying to find out what they wanted. Digby ran over to the Agents and started to bark and then put a paw on Tony's lap.

"Digby, leave those people alone."

"The dog's name is Digby?" Asked Tony.

"Yes."

"Digby, you remember me?" Tony said as he started petting the dog. Digby closed his eyes as Tony petted his head.

"Tony why is that dog licking your face?" Gibbs asked.

"Because he knows me, Boss." Replied Tony laughing at the dog's antics.

Ned looked up as he heard the name Tony. He knew that this was his friend Tony by the way that Digby was acting.

"Tony." Ned said as he quickly walked to where the Agents were.

"Ned." Tony got up and shook Ned's hand. "This place is yours?"

"Yes." Ned said.

"Nice place you got here Ned."

"Thank you."

Ned spoke up. "This is my friend Chuck."

"Hello, Chuck. Ned often talked about you when he was younger."

"You're his friend Tony DiNozzo."

"That's me."

Tony turned to Ned again. "I work for NCIS now. This is my Boss, Gibbs. My fellow Agents, Ziva and McGee." He said as he introduced each of them."

"What does NCIS stand for?" Asked Ned

"It's for Naval Criminal Investigative Service. We investigate crimes against Marine and Navy personnel." Replied Tony.

"Tony, I need to talk to you."

"Okay." Tony said as he followed Ned.

Ned told him about what he and Emerson had heard from the dead Marine.

The facts were these. The Marine in question Ricky Thompson had gotten into Coeur de Coeur for a little vacation. He had known someone from there and had wanted to check out the little town for himself. He had gone to one of the restaurants around town and had gotten in a fight with someone. The man who he fought with was named Josh Alabastar and had hit Ricky with a baseball bat and after he had killed him ran away.

All that was needed for the NCIS Agents to do was to get some information that it was indeed Josh who had killed the Marine. Without Tony telling them how he had known it was Ned and his magic finger that had solved the case.

After they found the evidence that they needed they quickly wrapped up the case. This time it was Tony saying goodbye to his friend and who had looked out the back window as they drove away.

Moonlight

Mick St. John walked down the streets wondering what Beth was doing when he walked down the alley and saw a vampire look up from a human. It looked like this vampire was trying to make another vampire. As soon as he saw Mick he took off down alley, but Mick didn't give chase he ran up to the human on the ground.

"Come on wake up." He said to the unconscious man. He saw that the transformation from human to vampire was complete. He had never seen the vampire who turned this human and knew that he wouldn't come back if he was here. It was his job to make sure that this newly turned vampire.

Suddenly the man's eyes started opening. Mick stared at the green eyes as they opened up.

"Who are you and what happened."

"My name is Mick St. John. I need to get you up and to my place. I need to talk to you about the attack. First question. What is your name?"

"Anthony DiNozzo, but you can call me Tony."

"Okay, Tony I need you to get up now." He stood and held out his hand to help Tony up. When they were inside Mick's place he sat down on the couch while Mick sat in one of his chairs.

"You may not believe me, but I need to talk to you about something that happened during your attack. You were attacked by a vampire and you in turn was turned into a vampire."

"Vampire's aren't real." Tony said.

"Yes, they are. Some are evil and some good vampires."

"Vampire's are not real." Tony repeated again.

"Yes, they are, Tony." Mick said as he showed him his fangs.

"You're a vampire?" Tony said, as his eyes got big.

"You don't have to be scared of me. I don't kill humans. I get my blood from my friend in the morgue. I need to tell you about the rules of being a vampire and need to watch you during the first couple of days."

"I can't stay here. I have to go to work. I'm a federal agent and work at NCIS."

"I'm sorry, Tony, but you can't return to work. If you do you can only work at night. Sunlight won't burn you and you won't burst into flames, but the longer that you are in the sunlight it will drain you."

"What will I do?"

"I have a private practice office and you can help me."

"What will I tell my teammates in why I am quitting my job?"

"I know. My friend will help me, but we can make sure that you are dead and I will change your name."

"I can't go back to my friends can I?"

"No, sorry you can't."

Tony nodded. Now that he was a vampire he could never see his friends, or rather his family again. He didn't like the idea, but he knew that he had to do this. He couldn't say that he was quitting NCIS was because he was a vampire. He remembered when he was a child that he was scared of vampires, but here he was one now.

Author's Note: I just watched Boxed In Once again the other day when it was on the USA channel. I really hated the ending and Tony's face was so sad. As you can see I really hated the Boxed In Episode.

Gone

Tony DiNozzo grabbed his backpack and disappeared into the elevator. He waved off the invitation to Ziva's house to have her cook dinner for him. He couldn't believe that they did that to him. Did they not like him? Yes, he could be a pain sometimes, but that didn't mean anything. That was a mask to cover up what his real feeling were. He had learned from an early age not to show other people his feelings and his emotions. Also, not to let other people see you cry. But for a moment a tiny moment he dropped his mask to show his emotions at being left out.

He went back to apartment after getting himself something to eat at the pizza place. His own favorite pizza sausage, pepperoni with extra cheese. He carried it back to his apartment and dropped it onto the kitchen table. He walked towards the cabinet and opened it up to get out a paper plate and put two slices onto the plate and then made his way towards the T.V. He turned it on and the DVD player after choosing a movie he popped it in and sat there watching one of his many movies.

The next day he was distracted on trying to find out how he should act towards his teammates after last nights snub at not being invited to their little party. He didn't even see the van that was near his own car and didn't see the four men who were suddenly there until it was too late. The chloroformed cloth was quickly placed over his mouth and he was thrown into the van as he passed out. The thought that he had before he passed out was that Gibbs and his team wouldn't care about him if he was kidnapped and wouldn't be looking for him because they didn't care about him.

One of the men put his gloved hand into his coat pocket and grabbed his cell phone. He threw his backpack, cell phone and badge onto the ground by his car and sped off.

One hour later Gibbs wondered where his senior agent was because hadn't shown up and so he called his cell phone, but it kept on ringing and ringing. Tony knew not to be unreachable. That was one of his rules. Never be unreachable. He got up and walked towards the elevators and punched the button to call the elevator. Where was his senior agent and why wasn't he calling and wondered if he was all right. He walked towards his car and sped away towards his senior agents apartment. When he got there he skid to a stop by Tony's Mustang. He found Tony's backpack, cell phone, and looked like his badge and there was also an envelope with his name on it on top of the backpack. He took out his cell phone and called his team to get over to Tony's apartment because they had a crime scene to process.

McGee and Ziva stopped by Gibbs's car and exited the van and walked towards the scene. "Ziva, bag and tag. McGee, shoot and sketch. I'm going to see if there's video footage." He told his team as he stalked off.

"What do you think happened?" Ziva asked as McGee was putting the envelope into the bag.

"I don't know. Maybe someone is after Gibbs and took Tony." He said as he wrote on the bag and put it into his case and then grabbed the phone and put it into another bag.

They worked in silence as they did their job. Gibbs came back with the evidence that they needed to hopefully find out to know not only who had taken Tony, but also what happened to him. They went back to headquarters and went inside to drop off the things to Abby.

Abby grabbed the evidence not knowing that it was Tony's things. When she put it down on her clean table she turned and found that they were still there. "What is it?"

"It's Tony, Abs. He's missing. We found this besides his car."

"No, he can't be missing."

"We'll find him, Abs."

"You better and then we'll tell him that we're sorry."

"What do you mean, Abs?"

"Tell him that we're sorry for rubbing it in his face that he wasn't invited to the party last night. I was looking at him when his face fell. A few minutes after he left and you went to go see the Director I asked Ziva why he wasn't there. It turns out that he wasn't even invited."

"I didn't know that, Abs. I thought that he didn't want to be there."

"He probably wanted to be there, but he wasn't even invited. How would that make you feel if you weren't invited to a party that all of your co-workers and friends were invited to?"

"I would feel bad."

"We need to put a tracker on him when we get him back."

"I don't think he'll let you do that."

"I don't care, Gibbs. He keeps on disappearing on us. We can't lose him." Abby said as she brushed a tear from her eye. "And if we lose him because of that stupid party that Ziva never invited him to I wouldn't know what to do. I still can't believe that she didn't invite him and then we had to go and rub it in. We should have known better Gibbs. We know Tony the best and yet we did that to him. We made him sad and we have to fix it before it's too late."

"We will, Abby. We will."

"I hope so." She said as she turned to the evidence that was gathered from the crime scene.

Gone

Tony awoke and found himself tied to a chair and then he found that he was not alone. Four men were around a table right in front of him and that they were playing cards, but when he awoke they looked up towards him.

"I see that you are awake, Agent DiNozzo."

"Why am I here?"

"You will find out in a minute." One of the men said.

Suddenly the door opened and two more men came inside.

"He just woke up, Sir." The man who had just talked to him said.

"Good." The man said as he walked up to the bound man.

"Hello, Agent DiNozzo."

"Who are you? And why am I here?"

"My name is Alexander Stevenson. Your boss Leroy Jethro Gibbs is responsible for putting my brother in jail."

"And why did you take me?"

"Because you Anthony have been working alongside Gibbs for nine years. You are like a son to him."

"That's what you think."

"Ah, but I know it's true."

"You don't know anything. You would think that someone who cares about me would care that I wasn't invited to a party. That he wouldn't rub it in my face that I wasn't invited. He would have cared that I wasn't there and wondered why I wasn't. He doesn't care about me."

"We'll see about that, DiNozzo."

He took out his phone and dialed a number.

"Gibbs."

"I have somebody that you are looking for. If you do what I want then you will get him back."

"What have you done to my Agent?"

Tony spoke up at that moment. "Why don't you just put a bullet in my brain. I know you're going to do it once you get what you want. That is if they do what you want them to do because I know they won't.

"Shut, up." The man on the phone said as he struck him across the face. "They will if they care about you."

"I keep on repeating this they don't care. They would be happy for you to put a bullet in my brain. Go ahead and do it." Tony replied and quieted down as another punch was delivered to his face.

"That's better. Where were we now? Ahh, yes. I want you to reopen my brother's case. I know that he was innocent and I want you to find out why he was put into jail. His name is Daniel Harrison. We will call you later to find out what you know."

"You better not hurt him."

"We'll see about that." The man hung up.

"They won't do what you want them to do you know."

"They will if they care about you."

"Like I said they don't care about me. They never did."

Gibbs looked at the phone. Why would his senior field agent think that they don't care about him? Oh, ya that's right. He wasn't invited to Ziva's party. Abby was right they both knew Tony the best and they shouldn't have rubbed it into his face and for that he was truly sorry. There wasn't time for this. He needed to find out if there was anything that could be done to get his senior agent back and safely. He heard over the phone that he had been punched twice. With that smart mouth on him he'd probably get more punches.

"Okay, I need information on Daniel Harrison. Apparently his brother thinks that he was innocent."

"On it, boss." Replied both Ziva and McGee.

Author's Note: The first two chapters have been written before and have decided to finish it. I have no idea where they have their cold case files and don't even know if they actually have any cold case files.

Gone

"I have something, boss. Petty Officer Daniel Harrison was charged with murder. This was before Tony was even at NCIS. Why would he take Tony and why wait so long?"

"I don't know McGee." He wondered the same thing. He remembered now. It was a case that he had handled the first two weeks that Mike had left the team and put him in charge of the team. His mentor had just quit and he didn't know what he was doing. Sure he had a good team, but it was his first time as a team leader. He had watched Franks when he was team leader and had learned some of it, but it was almost like he didn't know what to do now that he was gone.

"Pull up the file that we have on him. We need to check everything and go back to the crime scene."

"Sure thing, boss." Replied McGee who went back to his computer again. "It's a cold case file, boss. It's downstairs."

Gibbs nodded and got up and walked towards the elevators. When the doors slid closed after punching the right floor he stopped the elevator between floors. He sagged towards the back panel of the elevator and closed his eyes and then opened them and punched the wall. They better not lay another hand on his agent. He could still hear the pain of Tony's voice when he said that they should put a bullet in his head. To think that Tony thought that they didn't care about him was like a shot in the gut. He hated it that he thought that. He had also asked McGee to put a trace on the phone the next time that the kidnapper called. He then flipped the switch and waited until it traveled to his floor.

He signed the evidence out and then made his way towards the elevators again. When he walked out onto the bullpen's floor he set the box on his desk and uncovered it. He took out everything and looked through the pictures. He had McGee scan everything even the photos and put them on the big screen. He had remembered Daniel say that he didn't kill Petty Officer Gabriel Franklin, but he didn't find anything to prove that he didn't.

They drove to the crime scene and started taking pictures when they got back McGee went back to the computer and started uploading the pictures. They tried to find the differences, but since it was a long time ago they didn't find anything new.

It took two days, but they found something that would prove that Petty Officer Daniel Harrison was innocent. All it took was a ticket that he had gotten at the exact time that he was supposed to kill Gabriel. How they had found it was that it was still at the house in a hidden room that they had found while they were in Daniel's house. Why Daniel didn't tell them this right then, but wanted to ask when they let him go.

McGee couldn't trace the call the last time that Alex had called about the case because it wasn't enough time. Maybe this time when they had information that Alex would stay on the line a little longer. The phone suddenly rang.

"Gibbs."

"What have you found out?"

"I want to know how is my Agent."

"First the info."

"He's innocent."

"Good. Now you can have your Agent back."

"Let me talk to him."

"No." He said as he hung up.

Gibbs threw down the phone and then looked at McGee who nodded no that they still hadn't traced the call. He just hoped that he would find his Agent soon.

Gibbs was downstairs in his house working on his boat when he heard a knock at the door. He walked up the steps and made his way towards the door, but not before he grabbed his gun and looked through the peephole. He then cautiously opened the door and found a figure on the front porch. He looked around and didn't see anybody and then put this gun away. He felt for a pulse and found one. He turned him over and found himself looking onto the face of a very bruised and battered Tony DiNozzo.

"Come on, DiNozzo. Wake up."

He dragged Tony into the living room and placed him on the couch and then closed the door. He quickly dialed Ducky's number.

"Ducky, I need you at my house."

"What is it?"

"Someone dropped DiNozzo on my doorstep."

"I'll be right over."

Gone

Tony awoke in pain as Ducky poked his face at a particularly ugly bruise. "Sorry, Anthony."

"It's okay, Ducky." He looked around and found himself in Gibbs's living room. One moment he was in the warehouse and the next he was in Gibbs's house.

"What am I doing here?"

"You were left here, DiNozzo."

"Oh." He started to get up, but Ducky pushed him down.

"I'm not finished looking you over. Did they hit anywhere else?"

"Stomach." Tony replied.

Ducky made sure that Tony didn't have any broken ribs. "I want you to go to the hospital to make sure that they didn't break any ribs. I don't like how you winced when I poked that one area."

"I'm fine, Ducky."

"Just go to the hospital, Tony."

"Like you'd care if I had my ribs broken." Tony replied as he glared at Gibbs.

"I never say this. I'm sorry for rubbing it in your face that I was at the party and you weren't. I didn't know that you weren't invited."

"You're apologizing to me? I thought it was a sign of weakness. Plus I'm not worth it. I guess I should have deserved it. I mean my family didn't want me around, so I guess it's only fair that you didn't want me around. I guess I should have figured it out. My father didn't like me I mean he left me in a hotel room when I was twelve. I mean what does a twelve-year-old child do to get left alone in a hotel room of strangers? Maybe he was trying to get rid of me hoping that I'd disappear and never bother him again. It's only fair that you'd feel the same too and be glad to get rid of me."

"It's not a sign of weakness when it's between friends."

"Friends? We are not friends. A friend wouldn't do what you did. A friend wouldn't exclude you from a party that everyone was invited to. A friend wouldn't look so smug because they knew that you weren't invited to. It would have been better if he would of shot and killed me."

"No, it's not. Don't you dare say that. Do you hear me? I'm sorry for my part in that party thing. I didn't mean it. I know I have a lot to make up to you and I hope that you give me the chance to do that."

"I don't know if I can, Gibbs."

"Just give me a chance, Tony."

"I'll think about it."

"That's all I ask Tony. Now let's go to the hospital."

Ducky, Tony and Gibbs made their way towards the hospital. They waited until the X-Rays were done and they found out that no bones were broken. Gibbs smiled as they made their way back towards his house. Tony would be spending time with him for the time being. He had a lot of work to do and he hoped that Tony would allow him to make it up to him.

Spoilers for Dead Air. If you haven't seen this episode then don't read. As you know Ziva and McGee couldn't hear what Tony was saying because they turned the sound off. What happens if they didn't hear Tony yell for help because of it? I thought it wasn't right that Ziva and McGee turned the microphone off because what would of happened if Tony was hurt, or needed back up? They would have never known what had happened.

A Sound Not Heard

Tony knocked on a door and waited for the person to answer it. This had to be the sixth door that he had knocked on and he was getting a little tired because of it. He just hoped that Abby could match the voices, or he was doing this for nothing.

The door opened and a man wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. "Can I help you?"

"I am thinking of buying a house a couple of blocks down and was wondering how the neighborhood was."

"It's a nice neighborhood. Look I have to go back inside."

"I just need to know more about the neighborhood before I buy a house."

Suddenly a noise could be heard inside of the house and Tony looked at the man who looked back nervously. "Look I have to go." The man tried to close the door, but another sound came from inside. This time it was a yell. Tony was about to push past the man when the knife that was hidden behind the mans back came out suddenly and the knife was suddenly imbedded in his stomach. The man went back inside shutting the door behind him.

"Help. Ziva, McGee help." He yelled into his microphone. They would come to help him because they were listening to him in the car. He just had to wait. He thought about pulling out the knife, but he didn't know it was the right thing to do.

"McGee, Ziva help." He decided to yell again after waiting for a couple of minutes. There was blood coming out of the wound and he was about to loose consciousness. He hoped they got here soon because he didn't want to die in a strange place. His eyes were getting heavy and all he wanted to do was close them.

"Ziva. Shouldn't Tony be here by now?" McGee asked as he looked around wondering where Tony was.

She looked at his watch and nodded. "You're right he should be here." Ziva looked around and thought where could he be.

"Let's turn it back on." Ziva pointed to the listening device. They had turned it off because they were tired of listening to Tony.

McGee turned it back on and they both began listening. They couldn't hear anything. McGee began rewinding and heard Tony call out for help. They both looked at each other and looked at the device. It had been a couple of minutes that he had yelled out for help. It was their fault that they didn't hear him first because they didn't want to hear Tony. They both got out of the car trying to find out where Tony might be. Finally they found him on the porch in front of one of the houses.

They both kneeled beside him and touched his face. Tony's eyes were closed and didn't open them when she touched his face. "Tony come on open your eyes."

McGee took out his phone and called the ambulance and then called Gibbs. "Tony's hurt. I called the ambulance and it's coming." They could hear the sirens in the distance.

"How did it happen?"

"I don't know."

"How could you now know? You were listening in on him."

"Ziva and I turned it off."

"You what?" Gibbs growled into the phone.

"We didn't want to hear Tony talk to anymore people, so we turned it off."

"You turned it off because you didn't want to hear him? He could die and you didn't want to hear him?"

"The ambulance is here, Gibbs."

"Where are they taking him?"

"University Hospital."

"Go to the hospital and stay there. He better not die for your sakes. I'll deal with both of you later."

Tony was loaded into the ambulance and Ziva and McGee watched as the ambulance pulled away. It was their fault that Tony was in this mess. If they had listened to him they would have gotten here sooner.

"Gibbs wants us at the Hospital. He says he'll deal with us later. He also said that Tony better not die for our sakes."

They both walked to their car and took off towards the hospital. They both hoped that Tony would be okay and he wouldn't die. They both liked Tony. Yes, he could be annoying, but he was a good friend.

They took a breath as they entered the hospital and walked inside. They were in the waiting room when Gibbs made his entrance.

"I don't understand. How could you turn it off? You are supposed to be watching his six and now he may die because of it." He glared at the two.

"I'm sorry, Gibbs."

"Sorry? You're both sorry. Because you decided that you couldn't bare to listen to Tony anymore and now he's in there fighting for his life and you're sorry. Both of you will be investigated and are suspended for now. I want both of you to go back to headquarters and hand in your badges and guns. Vance will be waiting for them. Now get out of here."

"Yes, Boss." Both of them said as they walked out of the hospital. Gibbs watched them go and sank down into the chair. How could this happen? He shook his head and waited for any news on his senior field agent.

Finally somebody came out and told him that they took the knife out and the surgery went well. They had fixed the tear that the knife had made. They had almost lost him once, but he pulled through. Gibbs could see him when they brought him to his room. He sighed in relief. Tony would be okay and for that he was glad.

Tony was in the hospital for a few days. Ducky and Abby were there for him. Tony had asked about Ziva and McGee and Gibbs told him what happened. Tony didn't know what to think about that. Could they both not stand him that much? He had been there for both of them. He had been there when McGee had killed that cop. He had been there to help rescue Ziva and this is how both of them repay him?

He wondered what would happen to both of them. Would they get fired, or would they be back? He didn't know if he could trust them ever again if they came back to have his six. It would take awhile for the investigation to end and he began to wonder about the outcome.

The End

Authors Note 2: I left it, as it is because I don't know what would happen to Ziva and McGee after this. Would they be put into jail for failing to get to Tony and for not listing in? Would they be fired? Would they be allowed to work again as an NCIS Agent?

Home

He stands there with a sick feeling after Gibbs told McGee who was sitting in his chair "Don't worry McGee he's still alive." He didn't know what to think of why Gibbs would say that to him after saying he was irreplaceable. Why would he take it back? All he wanted was to make Gibbs proud, but it looked like he failed once again. It wasn't he first time that he failed at something and it wouldn't be the last. He spent all that time underground trying to bring Atlas out and this is what he got? He made himself walk forward and grab his bag, his gun and badge and leave not saying anything. He put everything in the car and drove to the park. He walked towards one of the tables and sat down. He grabbed his gun and started looking at it. Well, Gibbs said he's not dead maybe he wanted me to die? His father said he was going to end up in the gutter. He wouldn't even care if he had died. He never cared about him. It was the same thing with Gibbs. He had thought that he cared, but then he took it back.

He turned the gun around and held it. It was so easy to do what he wanted to do and he felt like it was out of his hands. He was useless which is what his father would say. He could hear his father in his head. "Go ahead and do it you coward. You can't do anything right can you? You're weak and always been weak. You'll end up in the gutter."

He lifted the gun and then stopped when someone beside him spoke up. "DiNozzo, what do you think you're doing?" Tony flinched and turned to the intruder. Luckily his finger wasn't on the trigger, or else it would have gone off already.

"Hey, Boss what ate you doing here?"

"I was worried about you."

"Right of course you were." He said as he turned to look at the gun again. "Why don't you leave, Gibbs. I don't want you here."

"It looks like you do, Tony."

"I don't need anybody." He glared at Gibbs as he turned to look at him. "I've been taking care of myself since I was a child there's no reason why you need to be here."

"What's wrong, Tony?" Gibbs said curiously.

"What's wrong? Do you honestly have to ask that question, Gibbs?"

"Yes, I do."

"I thought I mattered to you, but it looks like you don't care for me at all."

"Of course I care for you."

"Then why did you say that to McGee? Why did you say don't worry, McGee he's still alive. You would be happy that I'm dead because then you'll have McGee."

"It was a joke, Tony."

"You don't joke about that. All that time I was down there I kept hearing my Dad's voice saying you're going to end up in the gutter. When I was holding the gun I could hear him saying Go ahead and do it you coward. You can't do anything right can you? You're weak and always been weak. You'll end up in the gutter. I spent all my childhood listening to my father tell me that I was worthless and I'll never amount to anything and saying that nobody would care for me. I always thought that you cared for me, but it looks like my father was right. I've been stupid to think otherwise."

"Please don't go through it. I would miss you. I never told anyone this. I lost my little girl when she was eight years old and her mother because someone murdered them. If you killed yourself I would have felt like I lost a son. I'm sorry that I was so insensitive towards you. I never meant to hurt you."

"I thought apologies were a sign of weakness?"

"Not between friends. I really am sorry for hurting you. I never meant to do it."

Tony looked at Gibbs watching his face and his eyes. He seemed like he was sincere. Could he trust him? He decided then and there that yes, he could trust him. He already trusted him with his life.

"Okay, I won't go through with it."

"If I am ever insensitive towards you again please tell me. I don't want to see you do this again. It really scared me when I saw what was in your hands. And please if you ever think about this again please come to me and tell me. Even if you just need to talk come to me and I'll listen."

"Okay, Gibbs."

"Good. You have your overnight bag?"

"Of course I always have one in my car."

"Good because you're going home with me."

"On it Boss."

Gibbs smiled. Tony would be all right he just knew it. He really had been scared when he found Tony sitting on the table with his gun in his hands. He didn't know why he said what he did to McGee, but he had been sorry that he had hurt Tony because of it. He looked in the rear view mirror watching Tony as he followed him home.

Author's Note: Based on a short story I wrote a long time ago. The story is the first part of this fic. Tony also has a nice family in this fic. The is for the I've Got A Secret Challenge on NFA. I wanted to put this in the Myths and Legends entry, but it has to be a Legend that is in books not a made up one.

The Legend Of The White Owl

Many, many years ago there was a White Owl who lived in the woods. The strange thing is that there were not supposed to be any Owls living in these parts of the woods, but many people have seen something white as it flew in the sky. The legend goes that a young boy got lost in the woods one day and found the White Owl. The Owl knowing that the boy wouldn't hurt him flew down and rested by the boy as he slept. When the boy awoke he found the Owl keeping an eye on him. The Owl blinked at him and the boy blinked at the Owl for the longest time. Then the Owl took flight and rose majestically towards the trees looking back at the young boy. The boy got up and followed the Owl as it flew low in the sky always keeping an eye out for the boy. When the Owl couldn't see the boy it swooped down and flew lower, so the boy could see him.

The trees grew thinner and thinner until the boy and Owl burst through the trees. The boy looked at his house that he had left yesterday and looked at the Owl, but the Owl was no longer there. The boy looked up in the sky, towards the tree line and then on the ground, but still no White Owl. Suddenly something caught the boy's eye and he walked over towards the object on the ground. He picked it up and saw that it was a feather of the White Owl. He took it back towards his house where his mother and father who had just emerged from the house came running towards him.

The boy and his parents went inside the house and he told them of the White Owl who had led him to safety and then showed them the Owl's feather. His parents told him that there were no Owls in these parts of the woods, but the boy held firmly that there was an Owl and he saved his life.

There had been many more people that have been lost in these parts of the woods and a Mysterious White Owl has rescued them all.

Tony grinned as he stepped out of the elevator and walk towards his desk. He loved being a cop helping people by putting the bad guy away and helping the victims. It was in his nature to be helpful. Nobody knew at NCIS that he had been always been able to help, but only in Owl form. It had been passed down for generations. His father had told him about the legend of the white owl when he was little and then he told him that he too was an ancestor of the Owl. The owl was a DiNozzo and the ability to turn into an Owl was passed down through the generations. He had first shifted into the Owl when he was fifteen. He knew it would happen and was ready for the change. He was lucky that he had been at home when the change happened and his father was there for him.

At first he would only had hopped around and then finally took flight. He soared above the house and looked down at his father who had a huge grin on his face. He finally made his way down and landed. Changing back into a fifteen-year-old boy with his clothes still on. He ran to his father and hugged him and his Dad hugged him back.

"I did it, Dad. I did it."

"You sure did, son. It was amazing seeing you soar above me."

"I loved the feel of the wind through my wings."

The next day he was outside and once again he changed into the white owl. He was going further from his house when he knew instinctively that there was somebody in trouble. He glanced around the tree and saw someone on the ground. It was a young boy about eight years old who was sitting on the ground and crying. Tony soared down and when the boy looked up he smiled at the owl. The owl once again took flight and watched as the boy followed him leading him to a police station down the road. When the boy looked around and then as he was about the step into the police station he looked up again, but the Owl was gone.

Tony sat in outside in the sun sitting down on the bench with his crutches leaning on the bench beside him. He couldn't believe that his hopes and dreams of being a football player were crushed. His Mom and Dad had been great. They had been there every step of the way. His Dad told him that as long as his leg was broken then he couldn't change into his owl form. He was disappointed because he loved soaring above in the sky with the wind blowing through his wings and he loved helping people.

"Hi. Son." Anthony DiNozzo Senior said as he sat beside his son.

"Hi, Dad."

"Enjoying the beautiful day."

"Yes, I just wish I could change into the Owl."

"You will as soon as that is healed." His Dad said as he pointed to his sons leg.

Tony nodded as he turned his head towards his Dad. He loved his family and he knew that they also loved him too. They had been there for him in everything that he did.

During dinner he put his fork down and looked at his Mom and Dad.

"Now that my dreams of being a football player are gone. I've been doing some thinking. I want to become a cop. I want to help people anyway I can. I know as an Owl I can help people, but I want to help people the other way too."

"I wish that you would change your mind son about being a cop, but I understand where you are going with this. We will support your decision, son. We just want you to be safe, son. We know how dangerous being a cop is and we don't want to see you hurt."

"I understand and I'll try not to get hurt, but I can't promise anything.

He had called his parents and told him that he was now going to be a Federal Agent and was now going to be on the Major Case Response Team. He waited four years and told his Mom and Dad that he wanted to tell his boss, Gibbs and they told him that he could.

At first Gibbs didn't believe him, but then when he saw him change into an Owl on his basement floor he finally believed him. Tony told him about the Legend was started about the Owl and told him that he helped people as an Owl too.

Tony was happy that he had told Gibbs his secret and that Gibbs was okay with it.

Author's Note: AU fic and is a kid Tony fic. Based on the line where Gibbs says My Son Tony plays that game. Hollis Mann doesn't know about Tony in this fic until he meets him. Hollis doesn't know about Shannon and Kelly in the show because Gibbs never told her and I don't think that Gibbs would tell her about his son either. The team does know about Tony, but not Hollis.

My Son Tony

Tony ran into the house and threw his backpack onto the floor inside the door. It was a nice and hot day and Tony was thirsty and hungry. He was always hungry because he was a growing boy. He was eleven years old and he was very active in sports. He loved playing baseball with his friends and even played soccer. He really wanted to play basketball and football when he was older. He really loved sports and he was good at it. His Dad had always been to his games. He was lucky to have a Dad like his Dad. He had once told him that he was his father in all the ways except biologically. He had explained that his biological mother and father had died in a car accident and had given him custody of Tony. Tony didn't remember this because he had been a baby when his biological family had died in the crash that had taken their lives. He told him that his father and mother were his best friends and he had liked them very much and he was very sad that they had been killed. He also told him that the best day was the day that Tony had came into his life.

Tony went into the kitchen and grabbed a Pepsi and cookies. He went into the basement where his father was sanding his boat. He was at his babysitter's house although he had told his Dad that he didn't need a babysitter anymore, but his father had told him that he wasn't leaving him alone in the house. His babysitter would pick him up and would keep him at her house until his father called and brought him back home.

"I called for pizza it should be delivered soon." His Dad said as he had turned to watch his young son walk down the stairs with a soda and cookies in his hand.

"I was hungry. I am a growing boy you know." He grinned at his Dad and ate another cookie.

He sat down on the last step and watched his father turn back to the boat and work on it again. Suddenly the doorbell rang and Tony jumped up and ran up the steps.

"The money is on the kitchen table." Gibbs yelled at his son's retreating back. He put down his tools and went up the steps. He watched his son carry the pizza into the kitchen and sit it on the table. Gibbs grabbed the plates, napkins and made his way towards the table. They each grabbed a couple of pieces and put them on their plates.

Gibbs asked him about his day at school and they talked some more. Tony had already done his homework at the babysitters, so after dinner he helped with the boat.

Tony was excited because not only he didn't have school on Monday, but also he was going to go to NCIS. He had been there before and he liked being at NCIS with his Dad. His Dad said that if they had a case that he would visit Abby and stay with her until they got back.

He walked out of the elevators with his Dad and he pointed to his chair telling him silently to sit down. He had to talk to the Director for. He watched his Dad walk up the steps and make his way towards the Director's office. He turned to the elevators as it dinged and opened.

"Hi Uncle Tim and Aunt Ziva."

"Hello, Tony. How our favorite nephew?"

"I'm good."

"How come you're not in school?"

"I don't have school today."

He watched as his Aunt and Uncle make their way towards their desks, sit down and start the workday. He settled down and took out his phone to play Tetris. His father came down again and told him that he was going to see Ducky and left again. When he was down stairs a woman came up to the desk, but Tony wasn't paying attention. He was to busy trying to win.

"Hello, What can we do for you?" Ziva said as she saw Hollis Mann. She was watching Tony play his game on his phone.

Hollis Mann had come to see Jethro and wondered who the boy was that was sitting in Gibbs's chair. Suddenly Gibbs appeared and watched Hollis watch Tony. "I wanted to see Gibbs. Where is he?"

"I'm right here." Gibbs said as he returned from the morgue.

"Who's he Gibbs?" She nodded towards the young boy. She was still a little angry about not knowing about Shannon and Kelly, but she did kind of understand.

"Tony." He said as he tapped his son on the shoulder.

"Hey, Dad." Tony looked up at his Dad and grinned.

"I want you to meet someone."

"This is Hollis Mann. She helped with a case. Hollis this is my son Tony."

"Hello, Mrs. Mann." Tony said politely as he shook her hand.

"Can I talk to you privately?" She asked.

"Go back to your game Tony." He said to his son as he followed Hollis to his office. He stopped the elevator and faced her.

"You never told me you had a son, Gibbs."

"And I never told you that I had a wife and daughter who got killed. If I never told you that why would I tell you about my son?"

"I don't know Jethro. I came to tell you that I'm moving to Hawaii."

"I'm sorry to see you go, Hollis."

"I'm sorry too, Jethro." She said as she watched him flip the switch and leave the elevator. She was sorry to see him go. She wished that it would of worked out, but she knew that it never would.

Jethro watched his son play Tetris and then turn to the ringing phone. He told Tony to go to Abby's lab because they had to go to a case. He was sorry to see Hollis go, but he knew that it would never work. He missed his wife and child too much. The only one that he loved now was his son. He also had a young son to raise.
